About the Editor-in-Chief
Professor Leyla Açik is a distinguished molecular biologist at Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey, specializing in biochemistry and molecular biology. She leads the Molecular Biology Laboratory in the Department of Biology. Throughout her career, Prof. Açik has contributed significantly to the scientific community, with her research focusing on the synthesis and characterization of phosphorus–nitrogen compounds, antimicrobial resistance, and the molecular analysis of plant species. Her work has garnered substantial recognition, with over 2,800 citations reflecting the impact of her research. In addition to her research endeavors, she has held various academic and administrative positions, including serving as the Head of the Biology Department and as a member of the Associate Professor Committee at Gazi University.
