Md. Shariful Islam is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Rajshahi University, Bangladesh, recognized for his significant contributions to nanotechnology, materials science, and biomedical engineering. His research explores sustainable approaches and innovative applications in areas such as tissue engineering and poultry science, focusing on creating solutions that improve health and environmental sustainability.

Professor Shariful Islam is deeply invested in advancing the application of nanotechnology within livestock farming in Bangladesh. His current project, titled "Development and Evaluation of Nano-Feeds as an Alternative to Antibiotics in Green Broiler (Antibiotic-Free) Production," aims to innovate sustainable solutions for antibiotic-free poultry farming. Through this initiative, he seeks to improve animal health and environmental sustainability by leveraging nanotechnology as a viable alternative to traditional antibiotics.

Prof. Islam has made impactful contributions to the green synthesis of nanoparticles, notably in developing mesoporous hematite (α-Fe2O3) nanoparticles with photocatalytic applications, which have garnered over 300 citations. His work on sustainable antibiotic-free broiler meat production addresses pressing issues in developing countries, showcasing his commitment to sustainable practices in veterinary sciences. He has also contributed to studies on natural antibacterial and antifungal agents, investigating bioactive compounds from plants like Amorphophallus campanulatus.

Throughout his career, Prof. Islam has published extensively in renowned journals, with several high-impact papers on nanomaterials and bio-composites. His research is highly regarded within the scientific community, marked by interdisciplinary collaborations and a steadfast dedication to advancing knowledge in materials science, nanotechnology, and public health. His contributions have positioned him as a leading figure in his field.
