The integration of Moringa oleifera nanoparticles and shea butter in lotion represents a groundbreaking milestone in skincare. This fusion offers profound benefits, including deep hydration and potent anti-inflammatory properties.
Abstract
Background: Recent advancements have highlighted the potential of Moringa oleifera nanoparticles in enhancing UV protection, skin absorption, efficacy, and skincare formulations. This study aimed to develop a lotion incorporating Moringa oleifera nanoparticles to synergize its benefits with nanotechnology for improved UV defense and skin permeability. Method: Nanoparticles were extracted through a sequential process, resulting in silver nanoparticle synthesis. The lotion comprised three phases: oily (emulsifying wax, shea butter), water (distilled water, kaolin, Moringa oleifera nanoparticle extract), and additive (benzoic acid, fragrance), formulated using a double-boil technique. Quality and longevity were assessed via pH and centrifugal stability tests. The formulated lotion exhibited appealing aesthetics, high moisture content, improved texture, inflammation reduction, and effective hydration. Stability tests confirmed its quality. Results: The lotion holds significant potential for skin hydration and repair, though further research, including animal models and clinical trials, is necessary for validation. Conclusion: This study emphasizes the promising use of Moringa oleifera nanoparticles in advanced skincare solutions.
