About the Editor-in-Chief

Dr. Hoq completed his Ph.D. at Nagoya University, Japan in 1986. He was awarded the Alexander-Von-Humboldt Research Foundation Fellowship, Government of Germany in 1994. He specializes in Microbiological Quality Control in Food and Pharmaceuticals, Fermentation: Industrial Enzyme production and their technical Applications, and Biopesticides (Bt) production and application. He is also expert in Fermentation and Enzyme Biotechnology; Production and application of Eco-friendly enzymes for technical applications; Production and application of Bacillus thuringiensis Biopesticides; Anticancer protein & Peptide antibiotics  from Bacillus thuringiensis strains, Thrombolytic proteases from Bacillus strains. Bioremediation of toxic chromium.

Dr. Zetty Norhana Balia Yusof

Dr. Yosuf completed her Ph.D. from University of Cambridge, United Kingdom in 2012. Her research interests include looking at thiamine (vitamin B1) biosynthesis pathway in plants, specifically in oil palm, microalgae and seaweeds. Currently, she is a Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences at the Universiti Putra Malaysia.
